To see a little bit about the lot, go to https://dklbweb.dekalbga.org/taxcommissioner/search.asp and enter 15 254 01 229 into the Parcel ID/Account # search block (enter it exactly...with the spaces). I HAVE IT PRICED $8,100 LESS THAN the tax assessor has it, and even less than what it sold for back in the mid 90s!
I just got this property back via foreclosure in May 2009. It is approximately a half acre as I recall. There are no association or maintenance fees in this neighborhood. The taxes can be viewed at the site above. At the current moment, the 2008 are past due from the guy who previously owed it. I have contacted the tax assessor to see what I owe and pay it. Then the 2009 taxes are coming up, too. I'll likely pay those by installments. My address is also wrong (they used the original address off the old deed) so I have contacted them to change that, too. You should see a Stafford, TX address for the current owner very soon.
This neighborhood is very nice. It is a mix of homes from back in the 50s through the 80s. New houses still pop up on the unimproved land still scattered throughout the area. Because of the way they built them, they all mesh together very well. I don't have photos at the current moment, but if you drive by or know this area, you know what I'm talking about. If not, map 911 Allgood Rd, Stone Mountain, GA on http://maps.yahoo.com and that is the neighbor's house to the left. Please drive by.
The empty wooded land between the two telephone poles is my property and is TWO lots. Go half way between the poles and draw an imaginary line to the back and that is the two lots. One is 895 Allgood Rd and the other is 0000 Allgood Rd (no address assigned). It was subdivided. You can basically choose which lot you want, the right or left, or buy both. They are the predominantly the same lot size. If you have a hard time imagining a house on it, take a look at 911 next door. That is sitting on pretty much the same sized lot.
Please ask me questions if you have them. I look forward to getting over there and taking some photos, too. I will post them and/or send them out as soon as I do. Thanks for looking.
